We are a church centered on  Jesus, seeking the renewal of the city and the redemption of a neighborhood.

We believe the community of Weston Ranch and the city of Stockton have great potential to flourish and become a place filled with people who know and serve Jesus. We long to see Jesus’ love for all people put on display which leads to true lasting gospel renewal.

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. Isaiah 58:12

Our Mission can be summed up in three words: Cultivate. Gospel. Renewal.

Cultivation is the work of renewal • The reality of gospel renewal is being worked out in the world in and through God’s people. We, who are part of His new creation, have experienced the new birth in Jesus and have become emissaries of this good news by cultivating spiritual, relational, and cultural renewal amongst all people groups and places.

Gospel is the means of renewal • In His passion, Jesus reverses the effects of the fall by conquering sin and death which reigned over all creation from the beginning when sin was introduced in the garden. Jesus restores life as it was intended to be by making all things new again. This is the good news we proclaim: in Jesus, there is forgiveness of sins and the gift of new life.

Renewal is the fruit of the gospel • When the gospel is planted and properly believed, it results in change of individual lives. When individual lives are transformed, communities and cities are revived. This creates centers of renewal where people find hope and life in Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts and authoritative for daily living. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death for our sins and His bodily resurrection from the grave. We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by practice, are sentenced to eternal separation from God and are in need of personal regeneration by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who have so trusted Christ as their Savior are indwelled by the Holy Spirit of God and enabled to live godly lives through submission to Him and dependence on Him.

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3

We believe in the imminent return of Christ, and in resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal judgment. It is our sincere desire and prayer that you may experience the assurance of forgiveness and eternal life that comes to those who have trusted the Savior.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the primary agent of change in both the regeneration of the unsaved and the sanctification of the believer. Therefore, our purpose is to point people to Jesus, teach them to walk with him and allow the spirit of God to do the work of inner transformation. We believe each journey is unique therefore only Holy Spirit can do the deep work of transformation bringing a person to full knowledge of Christ.

BE • At Renew, it’s OK to not be OK. If you’re broken, this is place for you. We want to be a place that meets people where they are just as Christ meets us in our brokenness.

BELONG • At Renew, you can be a part. You don’t have to journey alone. Wherever you are on this journey, we want to walk with you. At Renew, you’re free to belong before you become.

BECOME • At Renew, you can become. Just as Jesus meets us, we want to meet you where you are. However, we don’t want to stay there. We want to see your life renewed by the radical grace of the gospel.

We are grateful to walk with other churches that are passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ, devoted to planting and supporting local churches, has a strong theological basis as well as a relational emphasis and a missional passion.  Our relationship to one another is more than occasional and extends beyond the leadership level into congregational life. It’s a kingdom partnership that’s lived out in close proximity to one another.
